Reverse Confetti {Feb. SFYTT}

There are still a few days left to play along with the February SFYTT Challenge over on the Reverse Confetti Blog. Go check it out....you could win a sweet prize.....an RC Gift Certificate!

Here is my sample for the sketch.

I had some fun with my Distress inks. I love those mini cubes. I recently purchased a dozen of them in a fun, bright array of colors. This was the first background I completed with them. I simply pressed the cubes, one at a time, onto my acrylic block and then spritzed it with water and then stamped it onto my watercolor distress paper. After I had all four colors on my paper, I moved the color around a bit to help blend it at the borders.  This was so fun to make.

I used a mix of RC products. The banner piece from Tag Me was used in the background. I simply snipped it in half and moved the pieces down to fit the sketch. The silver arrow is from Documented and I topped it with a die cut heart from Love Note. The sentiment is from Beautiful Banners and Tag Me, too. I say it all the time.....Reverse Confetti products all work so well together!

A few things you should know about the sketch:

Yeti It's Cold!! {Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp}

Yep. This is about how I feel. The weather here in Ohio is freakin' C-O-L-D! I know, I know....it's February and it's the Midwest, but still I'm over winter. I'm very happy that March is right around the corner.....that means it's another month closer to SPRING!! Come on warmer temps!

 I love this stamp set from Lawn Fawn, it's called Yeti, Set, Go. I added a pop of color with the trees and the strip along the bottom from the Snow Day petite paper pack

I stamped the sentiment in green and embossed the snowflakes with some white embossing powder. A touch of bling was added with a few sequins  The giant speech bubble border is from Lil' Inker Designs. Speech Bubble Die set

Retro sketch no.154 {friends 'til the end}

The next two weeks, actually close to three weeks, are going to be HOPPING here on the blog. Exciting things happening......There are some amazing new products coming from all three companies I design for. I have been stamping up a storm to prepare for the fun. I always get caught during this time, not having new content to share BEFORE the new releases. Today, before I got started, I decided to make a card to send to my dearest friend and have something to share here on my blog today.

I had my Reverse Confetti stamps and dies on my desk and i pulled this simple and sweet card together for the current Retro Sketch. I cut the Tag Me die with vellum and heat embossed a sentiment from In A Big Way with white embossing powder. I LOVE that look. I accented the tag with the adorable geo tag, from Documented confetti cut. I further added a final touch of cuteness with a red heart from Love Note. I used the teeny row of hearts and cut it twice, once in full and then I moved the hearts down the die and cut out just one of the small hearts. I love how it fits perfectly in that geo tag center.

Here is the sketch I used.

thanks for checking out my card. I hope you are enjoying the week and staying warm. I think most of the country is still FREEZING.....I know we are. I can't wait for you to see what I have to share tomorrow. It makes me smile!

Sweet Sunday Sketch no.257 {Sending You}

 Hello friends. I'm always happy to have you join me on a Sunday. I am so thankful for the Sweet Sunday Sketch.....it certainly keeps me stamping AND allows me to create things for non DT commitments. You'll be surprised to see I followed the sketch exactly as is this week! I loved the diagonal stripe, it was a great way to pull in two colors to my main image panel. I used all Lil' Inker Design products, today. Colors and card stock are MFT.

I used two sizes of the Stitched Mats-rectangles, and cut the smaller one two times in two different colors. I then used the Mini Envelope Dies  to cut some scripty words, and did some inlaid die cutting with the word, "you".

I finished the sentiment with some stamping from the  Sending You Stamp Set. I embellished with rhinestones and enamel dots and a teeny die cut heart.

here is the sketch.

And list of the Sketch Team cards. check 'em out!

Come check out the Sweet Sunday Sketch. It's always a great time. Thanks for stopping by here today. Have a great week.

Curtain Call {donut delight reminder}

If you haven't noticed, donuts are everywhere in the paper crafting industry lately. I love it. One of the first stamp companies to release them was Lil' Inker Designs. I used the Eat More Donuts stamp set and matching dies for today's donut set.

I used the stamps to create a fun custom background for my tag. I used MFT Premium Dye ink colors-in the buff, sno cone, tropical teal, ripe raspberry, and kraft.

There is still time to join us for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

You have until February 25th at 8:00 AM CST to be inspired and share your project!

Colour Q #280 {I'd Pick You}

I loved the gorgeous rich colors from this week's Colour Q challenge. I wasn't sure about the gold, gold always scares me, but it really made this card shine!  I pulled out the beautiful Love Blooms by Reverse Confetti.

I used the new MFT colors, Ripe Raspberry, Wild Wisteria, and Pure Plum. I stamped the Love Blooms flowers in the pretty colors and then used the coordinating Love Blooms Confetti Cut dies to cut them out. I used gold cardstock to cut out the leaves.

The main image panel was cut with the Documented die and I stamped whole Lotta  Dots in wisteria and the sentiment from the Love Blooms set in Plum. I also accented it with a few mini scallops from Double Edge Scallop die

Here is the challenge graphic. Come check it out.

Hope you're having a great day! We had another snow day today, so we are trying to stay warm! Happy Wednesday!

TCPTues 284-{have a wonderful day}

 Welcome friends. I'm here with the next awesome TCPTuesday Challenge. It's a lovely color challenge this week and boy do I have Spring fever! These colors totally make me think Spring, and I had every intention of using butterflies or flowers on my card today, BUT as I was digging through my TCP stamps and dies I stumbled upon this great set, Aye, eye, I.

Yep, you are right....more DOTS. I LOVE this cut up from TCP and I can't stop using it. I hope you don't mind. I used it to emboss the Summer Splash card stock. I added the sentiment along the Limelight cardstock strip in black. I then accented the great Under My Hat cut up with a Limelight trim and a pretty purple flower. Simple and sweet!

Here is the challenge graphic. Be sure to hop on over to the TCP Blog to see what the rest of the kitties have created.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a beautiful week!

Curtain Call {donut delight}

 Yum! This week's challenge makes me so happy. Donuts make me happy! I try to be good and not eat too many, but we are quite lucky to have some awesome donut joints close by. It's much easier to curb a donut craving by making crafty donuts and it's easier on the waistline. I used the awesome Reverse Confetti set and matching die, Donut You Know! (I will add in links later. There is a NEW Website in the works).

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

The LEAD of Donut Delight will be invited as a Guest Designer in our next challenge!

I pulled out my Distress Inks and created a colorful, festive background for my Donuts. I used a fun split sentiment treatment, inspired by Maile Belles

Here's a close up of my yummy donut. I used the Donut You Know Confetti cuts to layer it up with  paper sprinkles and then topped them with distress glitter.

Make sure you visit each of the designers' blogs for more inspiration!
